About Unieristy

Aston University is a prestigious public research university located in Birmingham, the nation’s second-largest city in England. The Birmingham and Midland Institute established a School of Metallurgy in the 19th century, which is where its origins lie. In 1966, the school finally received university status, despite numerous name changes.
In Birmingham, the campus of Aston University is spread out over 60 acres of Gosta Green land. It has a swimming pool, sports centers, a library, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, hair salons, health centers, and a lot of green spaces. The library has access to nearly 3,500 electronic journals and 40 databases in addition to a massive collection of over 250,000 books and 800 periodicals.
The business and industrial sectors are well-connected to the university. The Telegraph listed Aston as one of the top ten UK universities that produced millionaires in 2012. Stand-up comedian Frankie Boyle, journalist Ivan Noble from the BBC, and CNN senior international correspondent Nic Robertson are among the notable alumni.
